Background

Why did we do it?

The concept for Distiller arose from research being conducted into the potential of a genetic profiing service in combination with the common practice of health and nutritional assessments.

Inside Distiller

Distiller is not like the health assessments you many be used to. Distiller uses a complicated algorithm that attempts to replicate the logic and clinical experience of a healthcare practitioner combined with the facts of scientific research. The information provided by Distiller is designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between a patient and their practitioner.

Most health assessments utilise a simple questionnaire and numbering scheme which is totally unrealistic when aplied to the grey areas of dealing with real people. Each question in the Distiller questionnaire has an influence on, and is influenced by, the other questions and their responses. As you could imagine this approch has led to an incredibly complicated network of interactions, much like human biochemical pathways. As a result this allows the report to be fine tuned to the individual based on their specific responses.
